Below is the link for over 90 photos taken during our pilgrimage to Nigeria to visit with Fr. Peter Osuntope and the parishioners of Our Lady Queen of Apostles parish in Lakowe, Lagos, Nigeria from February 13th-19th, 2020.

The photos begin with our visit with the Archbishop of Lagos, Most. Rev. Alfred Martins on February 14th. The other photos from that day include our visit to Holy Cross Cathedral, as well as Freedom Park, which was the site of the return back to Lagos of freed slaves from Brazil in the early 1840s. These are followed by the celebrations for Valentine's Day at Fr. Peter's parish.

The next set of photos were taken during the two masses on Sunday, Feb. 16th at 7 am and 10 am. These are followed by the photos of the concert given that evening in our honour. The concert photos begin with the 6 of us seen wearing traditional Yoruba dress, the Yorubas being the primary tribe of the area around Lagos. The main group entertaining us that evening were the members of the Cecilian Academy of Sacred Music, which our parishioners have so generously supported.

Next are photos from our visit to the city of Badagry on Monday the 17th, which is located a few hours west of Lagos. Badagry was one of the major ports during the slave trade. The photos are from a museum dedicated to telling the stories of the horror of the slave trade. That day we also visited Sacred Heart Parish in Badagry, where we met with the two parish priests. Sacred Heart was the parish where Fr. Peter had served as Pastor from 2004-08.

Next, we have photos from our farewell dinner on Tuesday the 18th at Fr. Peter's parish with the members of the Welcoming Team who organized the logistics of our pilgrimage.

Finally, we have photos taken on Wednesday the 19th from the chapel of the Archdiocesan monastery, as well as our visits with the Judicial Vicar and Chancellor of the Archdiocese of Lagos before we headed to the airport to begin our journey home.
